The town of Zug, with its historic old town and a population of around 28,000, borders directly on Baar, where our hospital is located. Zurich Airport can be reached by train in around 30 minutes. This means that international connections are close at hand.

A wide range of sporting, cultural and social activities awaits you in the area around Zug. The town itself has plenty to offer. If you’re looking for more variety, Zurich and Lucerne are just a short journey away.

The region’s landscape is characterised by lakes, rolling hills and the nearby Alps, whose peaks remain snow-capped well into the summer. There are opportunities for outdoor and indoor sporting activities all year round.

Information for doctors from abroad

All persons practising a university-level medical profession must be registered in the Register of Medical Professions and possess the language skills required for their work. Please note the registration requirement for all university-trained medical professionals working in Switzerland with the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
