Postgraduate Medical Training

The Department of Surgery at Zuger Kantonsspital is recognised as a training centre for basic general surgery. As part of its extended basic care programme, the department offers additional specialisms with a particular focus on:

  • Visceral surgery
  • General and trauma surgery

The training programme is recognised for the FMH specialist qualification in:

  • FMH Surgery
  • SP Visceral Surgery V2
  • SP General and Trauma Surgery AUC4

The specialities of ENT and urology are covered by affiliated doctors.

Positions

Our clinic has 12 junior doctor posts. Of these, 5 are available for specialist training in general surgery. There is the option of a rotation to the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
