Breast Cancer Counselling

A breast cancer diagnosis changes your life from one moment to the next, brings with it fears and raises many questions. Our Breast and Cancer Care Nurses at Zuger Kantonsspital support patients diagnosed with breast cancer or gynaecological cancers. With their specialist knowledge, empathy and personalised care and support, the Breast and Cancer Care Nurses serve as a reliable point of contact.

What does a Breast and Cancer Care Nurse do?

A Breast and Cancer Care Nurse is a nurse who has undergone specialist training and specialises in supporting patients diagnosed with breast cancer. She is there for you throughout the entire diagnostic and treatment journey: from the initial diagnosis, through the coordination of internal and external treatments, right up to the end of your treatment. This means you have a dedicated point of contact by your side throughout every stage of your treatment.

Support during your treatment

During an inpatient stay – for example, following an operation – or whilst undergoing chemotherapy, anti-hormone therapy or radiotherapy, the Breast and Cancer Care Nurse acts as a trusted point of contact for any questions you may have about your condition and your recovery. She listens, explains medical information in a way that is easy to understand and provides guidance. Where necessary, she arranges further support and puts you in touch with other specialists.

Why choose Zuger Kantonsspital?
