Hand and wrist surgery
In addition to the treatment of the more common conditions, such as nerve compression syndrome (carpal tunnel syndrome) or trigger finger, the range of medical services includes all surgical procedures to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatic diseases of the finger, hand and wrist as well as replacement of finger joints with prosthetic implants. For injuries, the acute treatment of the bone right up to the nerve suture is performed under the microscope. We also perform corrective surgery such as axial corrections and tendon transfers to treat misalignments caused by injuries. For severe hand injuries, we cooperate closely with the Hand Surgery Department of the Luzerner Kantonsspital. Surgical treatment is supplemented by follow-up care provided by our specialist team of occupational therapists.
