Diabetes Consultation
Our centre of excellence for endocrinology/diabetology provides diabetes patients with holistic care from experienced diabetes specialists, based on the latest scientific research findings. Patients are the central focus of this consultation, which involves perceiving patients as individuals and in a holistic manner whilst taking into account their needs and habits. Family members are also welcome to attend consultations.
The diabetes consultation is a branch of endocrinology/diabetology. Our team of consultants conducts over 2000 outpatient and inpatient consultations per year. We work in close cooperation with our nutritional consultation team, private practice GPs and our doctors from gynaecology, nephrology, cardiology, neurology and angiology.
Our team conducts consultations and training in German, English, French, Italian, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. For other languages, we can call in an external interpreter if required.
Outpatient diabetes consultation
Out-patients are treated upon notification by the hospital or the GP. Women with gestational diabetes are treated and guided in dedicated consultations run by the treating gynaecologist and the medical team from the diabetology department.
Inpatient diabetes consultation
Our diabetes specialists care for hospitalised diabetes patients under the medical supervision of the Endocrinology/Diabetology Department of the Medical Clinic. After discharge, any incomplete consultations can be continued on an outpatient basis with the same team.
